Richardson Farm is a 500 acre family farm dating back to the original homestead in 1836. Currently it is owned and operated by 3 families of Richardsons - the 5th and 6th generations. The farm was dairy in the early days, then primarily pigs during the 80's and 90's, and now fall fun at the Adventure Farm and cut-your-own Christmas trees on the home farm on Richardson Road.
We feature the "World's Largest" most intricately designed corn maze, creating a spectacular picture over 28 acres with a different theme every year. There are 9.7 miles of trails "drawing" the 2019 design! But don't let the size scare you - the maze is split into sections and has no dead ends so you can come in and out fairly easily -- finding the checkpoints is the challenge. The 2019 maze celebrates Man's First Walk on the Moon.
We have over 30 activities for young and old. Most are included with admission, including train ride, carousel, wagon ride, 100' slide, jumping pilllows, 50' tall observation tower, pig races, and animals. For an extra fee, we offer Zorbing, a 650' zipline, paintball shooting gallery, concessions, beer garden, fresh donuts made throughout the day, fudge, kettle corn, and lots of pumpkins!
The Adventure Farm is open until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Satrudays, 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays! Nighttime is extra fun. The activity grounds are gently lighted, but you will have to solve the corn maze with flashlights or the light of the moon! There are plenty of clean, flushing toilets and several heated, semi-enclosed pavilions for your comfort. Down by the pig races and the train depot, the "beer garden" tent features live music most Saturday and Sunday afternoons, beer, wine, and Schnapps or Rum for your hot chocolate or hot cider!
Starting the day after Thanksgiving, and until December 23, we are open 7 days/ week, 9am - 6pm for cut-your-own Christmas trees. We have over 80,000 trees growing for a great selection.
